walking

Thanks for dropping in, The weekend is over. The gym Saturday morning. Climbing the wooden stairs on the Kangaroo Point Cliffes Sunday. This time I had three cans of difino plus a bottle of water in the back pack. That is what I needed, extra weight. And that's what I will be doing from no on. Adding weight each time increasing. I have a couple of six kg weights I can use. I felt it in the shoulders this time. At one time the right shoulder was giving me some greif. Then I realised I was contnually on the left side of the stairs going down and up. So I started to alternate left and right. I will be off to the gym agin some time this week. While I remember. Donations. Mike O'Hagan Owner of MiniMovers is still the leadr and has donated $1,000. Margaret Cusak comes second with a donation of $100. And an unknown through Bpay has donated $20. I am not sure who you are, however, thank you so much. Till next time, brian http://www.minimovers.com

तन्देम Bike

Vic and I were riding a Tandem bike around Mount Tamborine yesterday morning. Verry early. I was actually riding a bike well befor I usually get out of bed. Although I must say it was a good feeling when we got moving. The ting about a tandem bike is you do not have the ability to get up off the seat and peddle with force. The reason being that both of you can't peddle on the same rotation of the peddles. The peddles on the front are at a different position then the rear. Interesting. The main thing is we made it out the other side without any scratches. Except the bruises on my rear end. We also made it in the community a4 newsletter. Plus the Beaudesert Gazzette was there too. Photoes and news stories again. I will be checking up on the progress of fundraising and adding the names to this blog. Till next time. Brian

Hi there, Thanks for dropping in. Today Bruce Cook of Kick Bike www.kickbike.com.au. Dropped off a tandem bike for myself and Vic to ride around Mount Tamborine. This is a fund raiser for another caus. The funny thing is Vic and I haven't been able to spend time on a tandem bike bfore. This will be an experience. Bruce also dropped off one of his Kick bikes for Vic to ride and assist in getting his butt into shape. A Kick Bike is the adults version of a kids scooter. Bruce Cook of Kick Bike website is; http://www.kickbike.com.au As I have mentioned previously Mike O'Hagan has kindly donated $1,000 toward the Prevent Blindness FoundationDenise Dillon-Bowland has thrown forward $200. I will update the donations as I hear of them. Till next time go to my website and follow the directions to understand how to recieve a donation page. Bye for now

वाल्किंग थे Ladder

Suppose it is time for an update. Today I tackled Jacobs Ladder by myself. Took the time to count the steps. Not individually, in their groups. All up thereare around 240 steps from top to bottom and back up top again. I took 10 coins with me. This way I wouldn't lose count! Easy enough to do. I didn't want to just walk up and down and not know when I felt I had done enuough. I set a goal of twenty times with weight on my back. An extra couple of kilo made it a little more challanging compaired to normal. One thing about having to do it this way. I couldn't put the bag down somewhere and expect to pick it up sometime later. I am not saying I couldn't trust the people that were walking around at the time. I can't afford to leave things laying around. My going to Jacobs Ladder by myself showed to Vic I am determined to achieve the summit. I won't achieve it if I do not work on my capacity to walk the distance. trouble is the days are coming so humid. You need to get out of bed so damn early. I will probably go Tuesday. Just remembered I can't do that. I am speaking at a business club about the importance of relationships with your customers and clients in this horific economic climate. Till next time, BrianWW

थे कंगारू पॉइंट Cliffs

Hey, What a day. Well, Vic and I attacked the steps at Kangaroo Point again. After Vic assisting the Amboes with a possible bike rider who had been knocked out with a suspected kneck injury. After walking up and down around five times you really know you are doing something out of the ordinary. Now in saying that that is what the whole exercise is all about. I am looking forward to the Mount Kilimanjaro trek. Although I am a little unsure of the plane flight. The suggestion is to sleep on the way over. I don't sleep that well. I think I am going to try and be exorsted for the flight. Sitting up right and trying to sleep, crazy. Yes, the gym is still one of the things I won't give up. Physique is the motivation. I will lose some weight on the way up and down. However, I feel I need to be physically strong in the process. Plus, I am going to look damn good when I get down. Possible well before I get going. Heard word last night we will be leaving AUSTRALIA on the 9th and returning on the 21st March. Hopefully before the wet season starts. EXCITING.............. The web site for the High Sight Expedition is; http://www.highsightexpedition.org.au Someone please let me know how to make these into hyperlinks? Till next time, so long. Brian
